Customization / Desktop Screenshots / Unix & Linux

I finally fixed issues that poped up after upgrade to ubuntu 8.10 and tried applied some themes (not without problems either

). Kept bothering some people around here and eventually get it right. So here´s some quick shot to show I am unix fan now

running xfce+compiz+emerald

great shot! i concur with most ppl's comments here regarding the terminal font! Try a font like Liberation Mono, Droid Sans Mono, or Lucida Console! They look perfect. Terminus is also a great font!

To see video from vlc on you screenshot you need to go to Tools > preferences > Video > Video Output > select X11 video output. I'm using 0.9.5 and I can't remember where it is in older versions but it will be similar.

For more tips like these feel free to hit me up or check out justaguy or lynucs, they are where I get most of my info.

Oh yeah, not a bad shot. The fonts looks horrible, but thats just me and I rather minimal screenshots.

Justaguy and lynucs made me interested in linux (visualy speaking

), their work is amazing

anyway you do great shots yourself

and yeah fonts are everything but not cool or even matched in this shot...
